The Test Man Page application is an alternative to the man and info commands in the bash shell. It provides a detailed explanation of the commands with running examples. The application has a text interface where the command names can be entered:
After the command name has been entered, the command options are displayed. These are the same options that appear when you access the man page of the command. If we type the command number, we can see explanations from the man page and info, running examples and additional explanations. Below are displayed options of the command cat:
After we run one of the options, we can return to the command options by typing the letter c, we can test a new command or we can exit the application by typing Ctrl + C. Here is an example of how a command is explained:
